About

Chapman Manufactured Housing (CMH) also known as Chapmans Country Living is a Land lease community located in Vineland, NJ.  The community is family owned and operated by CMH.

 

Chapman's Country Living is situated on land owned by the Chapman family for more than 100 years.  Many of the home sites were created in the 1950's and since that time the community has grown into a place with many families now calling the family farm their new home.  CMH continued to grow in the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's to over 160 home sites that now are located where once there were mostly chickens and horses.

 

In 1912, the Chapman family bought a working farm, know as Pine Grove Farms.  It was a working farm located close to the train stop at what is now the Boulevard and Grove Road.

The farm experienced the growth of the Chicken industry and some of the old coops can still be seen on the site today.  For many years horses, cows, chickens and sheep would roam freely on the site.  The name Country Living comes from the history of the community and the location of being a "little out" in the country, for South Jersey.

 

Today, CMH, the family and staff, continue the tradition of caring for the land.  The Chapman Family can be seen daily at the community.
